Terms of Service
Terms of using Kastry
Kastry is a control panel for Twitch and Kick streamers. By using Kastry you agree to these terms - whether as a streamer who creates a Kastry account, or as a viewer who logs in to Kastry (e.g. on the kastry.net/ucet page, to link Kick with Twitch).
Who runs Kastry
Kastry is run by Ondřej Koubek (yzii230 on Twitch) and Tadeáš Svoboda (LokiNotLoki on Twitch).
You can write to us at [email protected].
Account and login
- You create a Kastry account by logging in with Twitch or Kick. You may use Kastry only in line with the rules and age requirements of Twitch and Kick.
- You are responsible for the security of your Twitch or Kick account and for everything done in Kastry under your account - including the actions of editors you give access to.
- Kastry may suspend or delete an account if it finds that it breaks these terms or the rules of Twitch, Kick, YouTube or Discord.
What you may and may not do
- You may not use Kastry for illegal activity, harassment, fraud or spreading harmful or misleading content.
- You may not try to get around Kastry's security, abuse its API, overload the server or gain access to other users' accounts or data.
- You must have the right to use content you upload or display (images, sounds, texts in commands and overlays), and it must not infringe third-party rights or the rules of Twitch, Kick, YouTube or Discord.
- On kastry.net/upload you must not upload illegal content, pornography, violence, other people's personal data or anything you do not have the rights to. We delete such a file and block you from uploading.
- Kastry will remove content or a feature that breaks these terms or the law as soon as it learns about it.
Tips and payments
- Tip payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal, depending on what the streamer sets up - Kastry itself doesn't process payments or store payment details.
- A tip is a voluntary thank-you to the streamer for their streams, with no claim to anything in return. The streamer receives the payment, which is processed by Stripe or PayPal. Kastry takes a 1 % fee from payments through Stripe (deducted from the tip together with Stripe's fee). Kastry does not return this 1 % even when the donor wins a dispute over the payment (chargeback).
- Kastry takes no fee from payments through PayPal.
- Kastry lets people send tips only to streamers for their content, not send money between people (for example to a friend or to repay a debt).
- To request a refund, contact the streamer you tipped. If you need help finding a payment or contacting its recipient, write to [email protected]. Include the channel, date, amount and payment ID; do not send card details.
- The payment recipient handles refunds through Stripe or PayPal according to the circumstances of the payment and applicable rules. Submitting a request does not in itself mean a refund has been approved. This does not affect the payer’s statutory rights.
- The streamer alone is responsible for what they do with the tips they receive and for any related tax obligations.
Access to your Stripe account
- Kastry accesses the connected Stripe account through Stripe Connect and only for tips: it creates the account and opens Stripe's embedded interface in it (onboarding, payouts, payment methods, disputes, account details and Stripe notices), reads its status (whether it can take payments and payouts and what Stripe wants filled in), its country and the public details it shows on the tip page, creates a payment on it for each tip and checks that it went through, and gets notices from Stripe about payments, refunds, disputes and banks' early fraud warnings. Kastry's operators see the numbers of payments, disputes and warnings for each channel. Kastry does not refund money, change account details or payouts on the streamer's behalf. Kastry deducts a 1 % fee from each payment through Stripe Connect.
- The channel owner accesses the connected Stripe account through the Tips section in Kastry. The embedded Stripe interface lets them view payouts and balance, manage account details and payment methods, and handle disputes. This account has no separate Stripe Dashboard.
- Only the channel owner can access this interface in Kastry, not their editors. The owner is responsible for securing their login, keeping account details accurate, and responding promptly to requirements and disputes shown by Stripe. If you lose access, write to [email protected].
Availability of the service
We try to keep Kastry running at all times, but it's a project run by one person - we can't promise operation without outages, bugs or planned maintenance downtime. Features marked BETA or “under construction” may change or stop working without prior notice.
Limitation of liability
We provide Kastry “as is”, without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, loss of data or other indirect damages arising from using or being unable to use Kastry. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it.
Termination
You can delete your account yourself at any time in Kastry under Backup and migration › Delete account. The services are disconnected at once and the data is deleted after 7 days; until then you can cancel the deletion. Download the channel's data and the income report before that; after the deletion Kastry can no longer provide them. What stays and for how long is described in Privacy. Kastry does not delete your Stripe account; it can be closed on request at [email protected].
Kastry may close an account if these terms are broken, the service is abused, or the law requires it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Any disputes are settled by Czech courts, unless mandatory legal provisions say otherwise.
Changes
When these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. By continuing to use Kastry after a change, you agree to the terms.
